Now Offering Organic Bloom Frames

Okay, so. You have met with your photographer, had some custom images captured that you love, now - what do you do with all of those photos?

I have an idea!

Handmade, heirloom quality wood frames that come in 54 different colors. Each frame is a custom order so instead of settling, you can get one that fits who you and your family are, while supporting a small American business.

These frames are only available through photographers, and I am proud to announce that I will now be offering these to all of my past, current and future clients.

Even better, if you order a frame (or frames) before I make place my next order on Monday August 29th, 2011 - I will go ahead and fill that frame with a print (of your choice) from our session.  From 2 x 3 to 5 x 15 to 11 x 14 - Perfect for grandparents, custom storyboards and your home. Since every order is custom you can get the size you need in the color and style you want it

Questions? Ready to order? Want to see what YOUR photo would look like in a frame?  E-Mail {click@ellashermanphotography.com} me to get that order placed before the 29th.

P.S. If you haven't had a session with me yet no worries, I am a San Diego Organic Bloom frame vendor, so you can still purchase a frame from me - but you should really check out my website

Where Ya Been? {Escondido Photographer}

Hiya! Where have I been?

From Oceanside to Chula Vista, photograph after photograph you all have been keeping me beyond busy, and I am so very thankful for it! From the bottom of my heart, thank you - I feel so blessed to have met so many wonderful people! From weddings to newborns I have been invited to capture so many big moments and new lives, and it has been an honor.

So, Shall we move on to some pictures to sum up my past several months?

There are too many to post, your scrolling finger would get tired, so how does a collage including just a bit of everything sound?

So, here we go.....

And these are just a small portion of what I have been getting up to these past months! With a dedicated work schedule, I look forward to updating this blog regularly and meeting some fantastic new families.

P.S. Remember that little facebook post I made about starting another blog with my good friend Charlotte of RedCharlotte?  It is going strong - not to mention the unique summer styled picnic cake smash photo shoot we just did for our kiddos turning 1! Come on over and check out www.finchfound.com and see what it is all about.

Belly to Baby {San Diego Newborn Photography}

I can't believe time has just flown by, it seems like just a short while ago my friend Morgan was telling me that she was going to be having a baby, and now she has one! The beautiful Miss Olivia was welcomed into the world on March 26th.

Congrats Morgan and Jim! She was a joy to work with, I can't say enough about how easy going, happy and alert she is for a newborn so I will stop with that, and let the images do the talking.

 Olivia is so clearly adored!

All these babies... {San Diego Newborn Photographer}

All these babies lately, I feel so blessed!

Here is Landon, and be still my beating heart, just look at him!

I tease, I tease! But just long enough to tell you the second I met Landon, and saw how he only had eyes for his mom. My heart just melted. Right there on the floor.

Okay - this is Landon.

Fun fact: Because of the way some of these pictures are taken, you can see a fun reflection in the babies eye's.  A lot of times, it is my reflection as a hoover. Not this time though, because of how I was angled, that would be his mom, Jenn, reflecting in his eyes.

Such a sweetheart, and those eyes.
Welcome to the world Landon, and thank you for sharing him with us Jenn and Brian!

This isn't one sided {San Diego Children's photographer}

If you have had a session with me, I have a feeling you might have gotten the impression that I have a son that I am, to put it lightly, wild about.

We adore every bit of him.

Each month we do a "photo session" with Wes.  Our plan is to take all of these photos and create a keepsake hard cover book for him.  To further the fun, we will be leaving the book out for guests at his first birthday to sign, leave a quick note, funny anecdote - it all works.

Today for our session we braved the cold, but with a plan!  We ventured a hop, skip and a jump away to Wes' great grandparents house. They have a beautiful field next door which allowed us to brave the cold, but quickly ditch out and escape into their warm home for a quick visit.

Good plan!

This is my baby

Great Grandpa even got in on the action - he made himself useful, I am contemplating the pros of bringing him along

Like all kids, sometimes shoots don't go as well as can be expected. Kids get grumpy, tears are shed, they don't always have the same plans that you do - and it is okay! Everyone needs bribes downtime. Like real sessions you just go with it - since this is my baby, I get to show you the behind the scenes fun!

Then we were back on track. Hopefully now, when I tell parents not to worry when their sweeties scream, cry, run off in an opposite direction while exploring or pout, you know that from the bottom of my heart I mean it!

Because it all works out in the end.

Ariana's one year photoshoot {San Diego Children's photographer}

So, funny thing I have come to realize about every cliche you see/read/hear about children growing up to fast.

They are all true. Which is why I love doing first year photography sessions so much! You leave the hospital with a sleepy, chubby, bundle of love - you blink, and they are a year old, which is a HUGE milestone, not just historically but in present day too. Just thinking about all the changes, accomplishments and developments that happen in the first year of life really is something to celebrate!

So happy almost first birthday beautiful Ariana, and congratulations on your first year!

I love these two photos for the same reason - look how big she is, but still so small. Just look at that delicate hand grasping her parents'

Such a beauty, with two wonderful parents!

Watch out world! {San Diego Newborn Photographer}

Two little baby boys in a row? Time to get a little femininity on this blog, and I have just the lady to do it!

My little sleepy buddy Carleigh.

I met her parents through a wonderful friend of mine, Charlotte of Red Charlotte . Christina and Gary make such a fantastic parenting team just two weeks in, I don't think Carleigh's teenage years will be a problem :)

When I showed up, Carleigh was peacefully swinging away, and had no intentions of going to sleep, but after some love from Mom and Dad, a load of dishes in the dishwasher and a beanbag covered in a shocking amount of snugly blankets we got her to sleep - and boy did she sleep!  Gary told me that once she falls asleep she is just out. As the parent of a baby who has never been a fan of sleep and finds any way he can to worm his way out of slumber I was a bit skeptical, but, WOW! Just WOW!

Such a sweet, beautiful girl.

Congrats Christina and Gary!
