Has it been a year already? {San Diego Children's Photography}

Planning a photography session takes a lot of work, on both sides. The photographer sets time aside (hunts down a babysitter),clears their memory card, cleans their gear, spends a great deal of their waking hours with ideas for the session running through their mind. Those getting their pictures taken clean clothes, wash hair, they get excited.

Then the world interferes.

And a new plan is formed.

Such was the case with miss Lila.

Here is San Diego we have been getting a good bit of rain, which means that not only does a San Diegan's world pause - traffic slows to all but a halt, shopping malls flood, and a city, which was not meant to hold a great deal of rain fills up like a parking lot full of pot holes. But, it also means that plans need to be amended.

Lila not only has an amazing family, but she also has two wonderfully flexible parents who just roll with life.

As the sky poured down rain, Lila's mom, Michelle and I text messaged back and forth about what to do about the session. Should we cancel it? Should we try to do it indoors?

Or should we throw a rain jacket on, and have a little fun with the mud?

I think you know the answer.
